is so named because founder Michael Bayouth is the son of actor/ stuntman Ted White, who donned the hockey mask to play iconic, machete-wielding Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, one of the most profitable films in the series. The corpse didn’t fall far from the casket as Michael is now making a name for himself in the film biz. With his first scare flick, Sam Hell http://sonofjason.com/samhell/ in the can and ready for distribution, he is eager to begin production on The Stranded, a movie that promises to make Camp Crystal Lake look like a nice place to spend the weekend.
In addition to horror, Son of Jason Productions has a knack for comedy and proves it with the hilarious series Trial & Error, a mocumentary that follows the follies of a fumbling film crew as they attempt to shoot a courtroom drama titled Sequestered. Directed by Bayouth, the series stars accomplished character actor Rick Overton (The Astronaut Farmer, The Tripper), Dave Thomas (SCTV, Strange Brew) and Thomas F. Wilson (better known as Biff in the Back to the Future movies), along with some of L.A. finest improv players. All footage has been shot and is currently being packaged for distribution.
